8.1 Marking messages ¶

There are multiple ways to mark messages:

• message at point: you can put a mark on the message-at-point in either the The headers view or The message view
• region: you can put a mark on all messages in the current region (selection) in the The headers view
• pattern: you can put a mark on all messages in the The headers view matching a certain pattern with M-x mu4e-headers-mark-pattern (%)
• thread/subthread: You can put a mark on all the messages in the thread/subthread at point with M-x mu4e-headers-mark-thread and M-x mu4e-headers-mark-subthread, respectively. When you haven’t enabled separate threads in the headers view, the thread marking functions simply mark all messages.
